Volunteer Opportunities
AHAI State Championship Round-Robin (10U)
Dates: Thursday February 26 - Sunday March 2
We’re proud to host the 10U Squirt age group round-robin stage of the AHAI State Championship, the biggest youth hockey event in Illinois! To make sure everything runs smoothly, we’re looking for volunteers to staff our check-in table.
- Greeting teams and families as they arrive
- Answering questions and helping direct visitors
- Supporting event logistics throughout the session
This is a great way to be involved, support our community, and help make a first-class experience for all the young athletes competing.
St Patrick's Day Parade
Date: Saturday, March 14
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of our most spirited community events of the year! We’re looking for volunteers to help lead and organize our Cyclones group in the parade.
Whether you’re great with logistics, love rallying a group, or want to help keep things running smoothly on parade day, we need team leaders and organizers to:
- Coordinate the Cyclones group lineup
- Help with banners, flags, and team visibility
- Communicate with families and participants
- Ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone
This is a great way to represent the Cyclones, support our community, and make the parade a memorable event for players and families alike.
CSDHL All Star Games
Date: Sunday, March 15
The Central States All Star Games are coming up, and we need Cyclones families to help make it a great event.
We’re looking for volunteers to assist with the following roles:
- Water Bottle Fillers
- Stick Handlers (carry sticks to the bench)
- Snack Distribution
- Penalty Box Attendant
- Score Sheet
- Close-Out Support
Players are welcome to help as well. Kids can serve as water bottle fillers, hand out snacks, and carry sticks for the players — a fun way to be part of the action and support the event.
We’re especially excited that four members of our 15U Midget team — Liam Petrovich, Brenden Conley, Colton Piacenza, and Max Saam — will be participating in the All Star Games. Let’s show up strong as a Cyclones community and help make this a first-class experience for everyone involved.

MIDGET VS. MITE GAMES
Date: Monday March 9
The annual Midget vs. Mite games are back (the Mites ALWAYS win!) and we have some volunteer opportunities for you. Please consider helping out!
We're looking for volunteers to run the clock, music, and help in the penalty box!
Senior Day Celebration
Date: Saturday March 14
We'll be honoring our Cyclones high school seniors and families along with hosting our alumni game! Consider helping out to make this a memorable day for our seniors and families!
