Favorite Experiences Playing / Coaching: I really enjoy when the team starts to put it together sometime mid season and building a strong team culture. Seeing the development of people/players from kids to young adults who are rewarded for their hard work on and off the ice. I have also forged strong friendships with parents and fellow players through hockey, wouldn't trade them for anything.

Family: Married to Courtney with one child, former Cyclones player who played at all levels in the club NW -> CSDL who is now a student at U of I, he received offers to play in college but has decided for now that school is his focus.  I'm certain he'll get back to hockey before long without an pressure from dad.

Interesting Facts: I have a band Tennessee Slim & the Whiskey Hounds, I am a (former) Marine which makes me a bit demanding on the ice, an avid reader (currently reading "Barbarian Days - A Surfing Life"), and someone who enjoys travel having just returned from Iceland.
